Ezra wasn’t the kindest of places for a sickly child from an overworked family. It wasn’t uncommon for Kelsey’s mother to wish the newest bout of pneumonia would finish him off. One generation of slaves produced another, the cycle unbroken until the child who somehow lived grew into a young adult with dreams larger than the one room cottage he lived in.
The unruly teenager hid himself beneath the floorboards of a visiting ship and left Ezra behind, his fingers intertwined with those of the childhood friend hidden beside him.
Now twenty-something, Kelsey’s taste for adventure hasn’t left him, but the feeling of helplessness has. He doesn’t tend to stay long wherever the wind blows him, but his visits are never in vain – Kelsey’s web extends to the farthest reaches of the Verse. The reliability of the flies caught there is somewhat debatable, but given the situation, any puppet has its uses.
Neither overbearing in personality or stature, Kelsey stands at an average height and has a square build. His facial features are broad and he enjoys accenting bright green eyes with various shades of eyeliner and shadow. Blonde hair is typically messed fashionably and sports the occasional bright color. Kelsey’s expressive face is littered with holes from a jewelry habit but he rarely wears anything in them all at once, if at all – the most commonly seen is a silver ring through his left nostril.
