[[ Catch-up post, go! Finally. ]]

Kasai emerged from his room with impeccable timing, opening his door just as the doctor advised everyone else to emulate the most popular party-goer. The merc's voice called out before he was actually in view, his tone one of light hearted jest.
"He means me, of course." He would give a sly wink to Xin as he passed, though it would be hard to see considering parts of Kas's current get-up.

His 'costume' looked to be an overly elegant ceremonial military dress uniform. Though it seemed rather mundane in comparison to Dr. Jekyll, some pirates, or a vampire, upon a second glance it was apparent the black suit was made completely of silk, as it shimmered in the right lighting. His double-breasted jacket was lined with a ridiculous amount of 'medals' and other regalia, which detailed his 'rank' and 'other exploits.' The whole outfit was trimmed in gold, adding a nice offset to all of the black. His vest and tie were also yellow-gold, complementing the trim on the rest of the outfit. The mask he was wearing was a beautiful, deep shade of purple, which matched his gloves and shoes. The masquerade style mask was sculpted to give the wearer the appearance of a fantasy dragon, horns and fangs jutting from the appropriate spots over the face.
Aside from his clothing, Kasai had put on a shaggy blonde wig which was applied so well that it looked like it was actually his hair. He had also put on bright green contacts, though they would be hard to notice, since even without the mask on much of the hair from the wig fell on his face.
Underneath all of that, the always careful merc was wearing a leather harness equipped to carry one of his pistols, a few extra clips, and a handful of knives. And, ever over-prepared, Kas also had a dagger strapped on his left calf and an unnecessary amount of clips strapped to his right calf.

After that point he seemed to become wrapped up in himself, becoming slightly aloof before the cabs arrived. Halfway through the cab ride a smile of familiarity came to the man's lips, and said something quietly to himself.
When they finally reached the destination, Kasai was the first out of the cab and he almost immediately disappeared, seeming to blend into one of the many crowds. If any of the other crew members even paid him attention they would have noticed that he didn't blend into the crowd, but the crowd formed around him and it seemed like they were all fighting to get a chance to speak to this seemingly random mercenary.

Kasai finally fought his way out of the crowd a few moments after the rest of the crew had been ushered into the actual party area. He shook his head, making the trek to where the greeter was stationed. A smile still on his face, Kasai's demeanor would be entirely foreign to any of the crew. He spoke with a jovial, charming voice, one that had belonged to someone else before he borrowed it a few years ago.

"Katherine always does throw the most opulent of parties, doesn't she dear?" He offered his hand to the greeter, and if she humored him he would take her hand and give it a light kiss. "Aleck Cordova, ma'am. You should find me on the VIP list." He paused for a moment, then started again in a surprised manner. "I didn't catch your name, miss. Might I ask who the fine Lady trusted the duty of checking in her innumerable guests to tonight?" He never really had to try to hard using that name, as the former Aleck's reputation went far ahead of him and made most Alliance nobles quite fond of the man now wearing it.

Kasai was playing a role, and truly acting was one of the things he did best. His movements were not his own, his words came backed with true emotions and even his voice was slightly modified to sound more upper class than he normally did. In fact, unless he made himself apparent to any of the crew members, they might have trouble catching him in a crowd, because while he would be on the partu floor and mingling he would barely be himself in any recognizable way.
